Avni Conference, Goa, January 2023 - Day 4

In this blog, we have covered the happenings of the fourth day of the Avni Conference at Goa, January 2023.

This is the first day of our Goa conference where the Avni team interacted with our clients. The conference was scheduled at 9.30 am. Before that, we gave ourselves an energy boost, with an early morning beach walk and a sumptuous breakfast.

Also, the Avni team decided to wear a Goan outfit, so I and Nupoor had gone shopping the previous day and bought a Goan floral printed shirts for all team members.

Set the context(Intros and context)

Arjun, from our team kick-started the session with an introduction. He then gave a brief about the agenda for the conference.Later he spoke about last year's journey of Avni in short and opened the session-up for clients and Avni team members introductions. This was the first time when we all (team & clients) were under a single roof. Many of us meet for the first time in person, out of the small screens of our laptops.

Introduction And NGO Talks

Introduction session was followed by client talks. Jan Swasthya Sahyog (JSS), Yenepoya (HDSS), Indus action (POWER) representatives Dr Ravindra Kurbude, Dr Abhay Nirgude and Madhuri Dhariwal respectively spoke about the use of Avni in their NGO work. They also highlighted the improvements needed for better functioning of the projects. Then we took a break for lunch.

NGO Talks

Post-lunch we had a short session on features developed for Avni in 2022 by Vinay. The features highlighted were:

  • Drafts-AutoSave
  • Grouped Form Element - Tabular view
  • Repeatable Question group form element
  • Background color for group form element
  • Documentation - with colored text
  • WYSIWYG Documentation editor
  • Timed Form Elements
  • Custom menu-item
  • Change in password policy

After which, there were presentations from representatives of LAHI, IHMP, Sewa Rural, LFE TEACH Tool and ATE Chandra foundation projects, who were Akash and Laxman and Saeed (all from Lahi), Dr.Pankaj and Appa (IHMP), Dr.Dhiren Modi (Sewa Rural), Vijaya (LFE Teach) and Hiralchandra Maru (ATE Chandra) respectively. They provided insights into their projects functioning and impact and also on usage of Avni application there-in. They also provided feedback on how to improve Avni further. We ended the session for that day at around 6 pm.

Evening

But the day did not end there. We took a walk on the beach watching the picturesque sunset. And also clicked some beach photos wearing our Avni special Goan shirts.

We finally ended our long busy day with a satiating dinner and a mind full of never-ending talks with clients and team members.
